Privacy policy

Last updated 19 September 2026. Opticampare is operated from Denmark and follows the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The short version

We do not ask you to register, we do not collect your name or email, and your prescription and any photo you use for measuring PD never leave your own device.

Your prescription

Prescription values you type in are stored only in your own browser so the form is filled in next time. They are never sent to us or to anyone else. Clearing the form or your browser data removes them.

Photos for PD measurement

The photo you choose is processed inside your browser to calculate the distance between your pupils. It is never uploaded, stored or transmitted.

What we do record

When you click through to a shop, we record which shop, which country, the price shown and the time. This tells us which shops people find useful. It contains no name, email, IP address or anything that identifies you.

Cookies

We set no advertising or tracking cookies. Shops you click through to may set their own cookies, including affiliate tracking cookies, once you are on their site. Their privacy policies apply there.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses for security and to deliver the page. Cloudflare acts as our data processor.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is normally nothing to access, correct or delete. If you believe we hold data about you, write to hello@opticampare.com and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to Datatilsynet, the Danish data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
